Job Purpose and Impact

The Aqua Manager will lead the Aqua Species Category and will contribute to strategy and oversee execution of product and technology activities for a range of products and services.  This position is responsible to connect and interact for the opportunities, innovations and new developments both internal and external.

We seek a professional who will guide our team to identify market potential, assess customer needs, support new product launches and market strategies with technology focus.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and build technology capabilities, support deployment of technologies in local businesses and provide technical support (tools & processes). 
  • Supervise, compiling and evaluating research on market product requirements and identify enhancements to current features and functionality. Organize project data and conclusions for internal and customer presentations, assist with product demonstrations and service as subject matter guide during meetings with prospective customers.
  • Lead Technology Application Centre projects and guide/support technical services team. Keep application and value collection up-to-date in the systems.
  •  Oversee preparation and coordination of product introductions and updates. Provide customer solutions and technical support materials to key/strategic customers.
  • Lead and develop a team by providing guidance to direct reports on how to communicate technical consulting or solutions and provide training to customers and internal stakeholders by staying ahead of product insight and research to improve value of offerings
  • Constantly expands knowledge on customers, the application and markets to create new innovation ideas for new projects.
  • Oversee planning, organizing and coordinating assigned programs to accomplish financial and budgetary goals.
  • Coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduation, Master or Phd in Aqua preferred, with more than 5 years of experience on Aqua Industry in similar roles.
  • Technical Services and nutrition experience would be preferred
  • Leadership experience preferred, providing coaching and developing talent
  • Demonstrated ability to adjust to ever-changing markets and customer needs and, in turn, apply relevant technology accordingly
  • Commercial experience in consultancy or sales
  • Analytical and conceptual skills
  • Excellent oral and written English language skills
