Job Purpose and Impact

The Lab Operations Coordinator will perform a wide variety of tasks to keep the lab running efficiently to help drive the development of new products and improved processes for the food, feed and industrial segments. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Resolve instrumentation needs by managing equipment across groups, keeping it in critical working order, as well as ensuring performance maintenance is conducted appropriately.
  • Execute and manage inventory, including chemical ordering, stockroom support, gas inventory, dishes, and shipment.
  • Perform facilities management, working with EHS and facilities teams to ensure smooth execution of work orders and management of change through proposals and follow ups.
  • Perform CAPEX management, including proposals, execution, and follow up.
  • Build and administer service contracts and blanket purchase orders across Core R&D.
  • Conduct analytical samples, experiments following standards including the proposal disposal of wastes according to environmental health and safety guidelines in a high safety focused environment.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • General technical knowledge in analytical chemistry and sterile techniques
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Action oriented with emotional intelligence, ambitious, good influencing skills
  • Experience in analytical instrumentation including spectroscopy, imaging, chromatography and sensors
