What is the Quality Management Trainee Program about?

We aim to develop top diverse talent towards future expert and managerial roles for our food and feed safety, product quality and regulatory compliance functions at Cargill. The program offers access to accelerate development on the job and through other channels during a 24-month program which may include depending on your area of expertise:

  • Being responsible for food safety, product quality and regulatory compliance for the assigned trading office. 
  • Conducting sampling, testing and auditing of raw materials to ensure compliance to government, customer and internal standards.
  • Promoting the development of food safety attitude and culture.  Monitoring supply-chain operations for compliance to behavioral standards related to food/feed safety and quality. Supporting for complaints and incidents investigations.
  • Assisting with the external laboratory activities.
  • Supporting process teams to aid troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Leading directly or supporting multi-functional teams on FSQR matters.
  • Learning on the job from experts, developing technical and soft skills and receiving coaching from your manager and peers.
  • Participating in structured learning (digital and instructor led) to develop your technical, professional and leadership skills with peers across Europe, Middle East and Africa, learning from each other during the different sessions of the Cargill European Graduate program.
  • Building a peer network across Cargill.

You will join a diverse team of FSQR experts and support them in maintaining and optimizing quality systems as well as applying CI mindset. Upon completing the traineeship you will embark on an exciting career within Cargill FSQR organization.

What you will bring to Cargill (REQUIRED)

  • Master‘s degree Agricultural or Food Safety, Chemistry / Biochemistry, Microbiology or any other science-related field. 
  • Up to 2 years of work experience and/or an internship in relevant areas.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • Passion for food and feed industry, CI values and mindset.

  • Self-starter; highly motivated and able to work independently. Willingness to take responsibility and initiative. Demonstrated experience in prioritizing work and meeting deadlines 
  • Proven natural leadership and excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Teamwork: ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-functional teams.
  • High integrity and ethical standards. 
  • Fast learner and oriented to self-development: curiosity to learn and create new way of building and/or improving systems and processes. 
  • Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database navigation, …)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details. Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems.  
  • Flexibility; able to cope with fast changes within a growing company.
