Job Purpose and Impact

The Strategic Marketing Manager – Poultry and MicroNutrition will design and implement a comprehensive product marketing cycle for the North American Poultry industry. We seek a professional who will identify market potential, establish pricing and market strategies, estimate potential sales, define promotional activities and handle product through phase-out. The major responsibilities will be to support key initiatives to enable product line strategy including supporting the development of marketing strategy, managing partnerships, contributing to identifying and initiating new product/technology opportunities, supporting the development of brand portfolio and communications planning, helping to guide product/technology positioning, assessing portfolio needs and developing sales activation tools and plans.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare and coordinate product introductions and create marking plan in collaboration with marketing communications within the U.S. and Canada by interacting across all the NA species innovation and technical teams.

  • Collaborate across functions to support and execute the portfolio strategy and drive growth with partnerships and through projects.

  • Contribute to short- and long-term strategy building for the North American poultry and micronutrition portfolio.

  • Plan, organize and coordinate promotional programs to accomplish financial and budgetary goals in cooperation with the poultry sales teams.

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Rigorously monitor and gather deep customer insights, competitive activities and market insights to help fuel strategy, portfolio and growth.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or agriculture business

  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or similar educational degree

  • Five years of experience in Strategic Marketing or related discipline within the poultry industry

  • Four years of strategic marketing, product management or related poultry, animal nutrition or food manufacturing work experience Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams

  • Experience in pricing and account management

  • Experience in developing and launching new products

  • Experience in developing marketing plans and brand management

  • Must be results oriented, innovative and creative

  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Bilingual (French)
