JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT
The Automation, Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist will help implement, test, troubleshoot and improve electronic automation and controls systems to increase production quality, efficiency, and volume. We seek a professional with working knowledge within a discipline to join our team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Use prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems.
- Help develop and define control system applications for various machinery and equipment using technologies or platforms.
- Check and update control system schematics and specifications, using software and testing equipment to diagnose root cause to resolve system malfunctions.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Site contact and support for plant network systems to answer questions and resolve system malfunctions.
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or Associates Technical Degree with a minimum of 3 years in Automation Electrical Instrumentation experience.
- Proven work experience configuring, programing and deploying proprietary control systems including Programable Logic Control and Human Machine Interfaces.
- Experience with updating and troubleshooting a range of electrical or instrumentation systems.
- Experience with Allen Bradly controls and devices
- Ability to read and update electrical schematics
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Working experience in continuous and batch process control strategies.
- Previous experience working with Food Processing Equipment
- Experience with Wonderware, and Siemens control systems
- Must be familiar with National Electric Code and industrial electrical requirements
