Job Purpose and Impact

The Organizational Development Enablement Consultant will be responsible for enabling initiatives around organizational design and organizational health diagnostics through technology. In this role, you will be an expert in the processes, tools and methodologies associated with these domain areas as well as have significant insight to external solutions and future thinking which could be brought into solutions. You will serve as a hands-on practitioner supporting enterprises to diagnose, propose and deliver human resources solutions.

In this role, you will enable organization design and other organizational health decisions with data-driven insights, develop an organizational health framework and consult on application across the organization.  You will leverage experience with technology, knowledge of organizational health concepts, and external relationships to provide thought leadership and make recommendations regarding good organizational health practices.  You will partner closely with Talent Center of Expertise colleagues, Business HR, and Global Human Resource Solutions (regional Talent and Performance Organizational Consultants) on large-scale projects to design a future state organization and assess organizational health.  You will conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis on data to generate proactive insights and information.  You will partner closely with IT/Technology Governance Risk and Control, People Analytics, and Cargill Strategic Sourcing and Procurement to ensure data sharing guidelines are followed and internal and external partners are aligned to data and usage standards.

Key Accountabilities

•    Represent the needs of the organizational development team in the diagnosis, design and execution of solution offerings.
•    Partner with HR colleagues and provide strategic thought to identify and recommend appropriate solutions, align on solution design creation and leverage existing global solutions and service providers.
•    Provide strategic thought leadership and act as a consultant to oversee and accelerate organizational development projects and provide oversight and leadership to leverage data driven insights 
•    Foster the implementation of technology solutions to achieve the desired business results and provide an excellent client experience.
•    Develop organizational health principles and framework and perform organization health diagnostics, including: span/layer, band and headcount distribution, etc.  This may include more formal leadership proactive analysis and leveraging insights to “tell the story” of our data and organizational health.
•    Provide strategic thought leadership and act as a consultant to accelerate and enable organizational projects and decision-making, leveraging organizational design and organizational health frameworks.
•    Work with OrgVue, related tools and other external communities of practice to ensure best practices are applied.
•    Refine and execute: the strategic roadmap for organizational tools and execute on plan in partnership with critical stakeholders; the operating model for leveraging tools to enable efficient and effective decision-making; and design principles for usage of the tool.
•    Conduct complex “what if” scenario planning and analysis to identify the return and impact of specific initiatives Including span/layer analysis; workforce planning (supply/demand planning); and costs and design principles.
•    Nurture a strong continuous improvement culture to ensure deployment of scalable, simplified and standardized processes.
•    Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
•    Other duties as assigned.




Minimum Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
•    Proven consulting skills that drive high performance
•    Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communications skills
•    Minimum of six years of related work experience

Preferred Qualification
•    Experience using OrgVue
•    Organizational design / development or change management certification
•    Process development experience and systems thinking capability
•    Project management experience
•    Minimum of 10 years of relevant business or human resources experience
