Job Purpose and Impact

The North America Procurement Lead, Marketing & Communications and Office Services will work closely with internal clients in the region to understand local/regional initiatives of the main enterprises and functions. In this role, the lead will establish strategic partnerships with regional suppliers for all different categories and develop and implement a governance process with clear guidelines and modus operandi. The lead will perform sourcing activities, analyze requests for proposals, negotiate contracts and coordinate supplier integration plans with internal clients for Marketing & Communications and Office Services. The lead will support the creation, updates, and implementation of the Master Category Strategy implementation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Understand business requirements for complex categories, subcategories aligned with local sourcing requirements.

  • Support the routine, complex activities within local sourcing.

  • Participate in local or global supplier selection and negotiations, may lead more complex selection and negotiation.

  • Support creation, update and implementation of Master Category Strategies and playbooks.

  • Frequent communication with Regional and Global Suppliers delivering requirements, results and governance activities

  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience


  • Six years of related work experience

  • Minimum four years of contract management, contract negotiations and working with a Law department on complex agreements

  • Business Acumen - Uses understanding of the broad economics of the business area to drive recommendations. Interprets financial performance and describes how initiatives/projects contribute to the delivery of the overall strategy
