Trader - Sorghum
Cargill’s global footprint provides first-hand visibility into market movements and offers a highly diversified array of commodities from import to export.
In this role you will be responsible for managing the trade and execution strategy for Sorghum Trades. Working closely with new and existing customers you will be self-motivated to perform complex trading work, generate income and negotiate the buying and selling of cash grains for domestic and export use. Liaising with teams in Australia and overseas offices you will effectively communicate the sorghum trading strategies, market environment and forecasts utilising industry reports, customer data and forecasting tools. You will closely with our sales, logistics and analytics team to help you succeed to deliver in this role. The role brings an attractive salary and bonus scheme along with the opportunity to work with a market leading business and gain access to derivative markets.
The role location is flexible, you can be based in any state across Australia
- Degree in economics, agriculture or finance
- Minimum of four years commodity trading experience
- Experience within sorghum or cash grains trading
- Excellent financial acumen with P&L experience and risk management tools
- Results driven with ability to work autonomously
- Customer centric approach and proactive in building customer relationships
