Job Purpose and Impact

We have started the journey towards smart manufacturing. The Smart Manufacturing Leader will be a part of transforming the way we work. This role will drive forward a smart manufacturing program and lead projects within Cargill Oilseeds EMEA. You will advance Smart Manufacturing in our 14 Oilseed Crush locations, two Biodiesel plants and two Port Operations by delivering targeted results in advanced analytics, modelling, digitalization and further automation.

In this role you will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as liaison among project management and planning, project team, line management, functions and aligned with the Group Smart Manufacturing Strategy. We seek a professional who will provide oversight and leadership to the Smart Manufacturing deployment team, and create awareness and excitement with tech-related topics.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and resolve obstacles to completing projects on time and to budget
  • Ensure team adheres to internal and external quality standards and requirements
  • Development of strategic tech related value targets and consequent opportunity identification across the region, in the Advanced Analytics, digitalization and automation space
  • Lead project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules and determine resource requirements
  • Oversee team members that monitor and report on the status of use cases goals
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business and dynamic environment while indirectly leading, coaching and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors at the plants. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs
  • Partner with Enterprise Smart Manufacturing team, SMEs for Operational Intelligence, Manufacturing Technology, Reliability, Automation, Process Control, Production Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Capital Excellence and Operations to identify, use cases, program roadmap, resource and capability requirements to meet Smart Manufacturing objectives both short and long-term
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Good understanding of Advanced Analytics models impact, features, reach and relevance
  • Experience with Agile approach
  • Ability to get things done in a matrix organization with no direct reports (convince/influence)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three or more years of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead virtual teams across geographies to achieve business results
  • Deep Knowledge of advanced analytics, digitalization and process automation
  • Experience/ exposure to Smart Manufacturing related activities
  • Experience in developing and managing a portfolio of projects including strategy to meet business needs
  • Deep experience working with teams in an agile setting
