Job Purpose and Impact

The Utilities Business Development Manager, will develop ways to increase sales of esters in transformers used by utilities (transmission and distribution system operators – TSO & DSO) in Europe. In this role, you will offer insight to help shape Cargill Bioindustrial - Power Systems business expansion strategies and provide input into annual business development plans to reach objectives and revenue.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work closely with utilities to drive (i) acceptance of ester use in transformers and (ii) modification of insulating fluid specifications to esters;
  • Collect and address utilities’ interest, questions and concerns on esters;
  • Work closely with region account manager and transformer manufacturers to address utilities needs for ester filled transformers;
  • Continuously map existing European utilities esters demand and identify key transformer manufacturers;
  • Monitor market development activities to align with company business goals.
  • Prioritize market segments and regions based on feedback from utilities.
  • Collaborate with other business developers and with internal support functions to optimize market segment priorities.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Seven years and above experience in commercial or business development in the insulating fluid, transformer or utilities industry.
  • Technical knowledge of insulating fluids and transformer technology.
  • Experience in global company and matrix organizations
