Job Purpose and Impact

The Merchant will contribute to the profitability of the cocoa business in APAC by optimizing product flows and maximizing margins through strategic pricing. We seek a professional who is a team player and is able to work together with multiple stakeholders to communicate the products game plan as well as its execution.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with sales organization to track customer and competitor activity, industry trends and market price levels.
  • Contribute to developing sales strategies through strategic pricing, as well as optimizing our capacity to maximize margins.
  • Collaborate with global and local teams’ supply chain, planning, finance and operations to ensure efficient execution.
  • Research and analyze various commercial opportunities in the marketplace to maximize margin.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
