Job Purpose and Impact

The Accountant will establish and maintain accounting policies and fiscal controls and prepare financial reports and safeguard the organization's assets. In this role, you will help build accurate standard financial statements that comply with established requirements and policies.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain accounting and financial records and reports.
• Perform basic accounting duties.
• Review and create standard accounting report packages.
• Contribute to new setup and changes in existing financial applications to optimize effectiveness.
• Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned

The expected salary for this position is $75k. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Ability and willingness to work overtime if needed by the business to connect with the Japan accounting team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• SAP experience 
• Japanese (written and oral)
• Trading experience
