Job Purpose and Impact

The Security Engineering Consultant will leverage their development, security, and architecture experience to mitigate risk and enable security controls for both cloud and on premises environments using innovative solutions. In this role, you will help streamline secure development by integrating security and tooling into our development pipeline.  This role will also assist in building a findings and vulnerability data lake to enable a centralized, risk-based intelligence capability. You will apply development languages and automated pipeline technologies in the cloud and on premises to create solutions that help the company develop, update and operate applications securely.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop code to enable security tool automation within the development pipeline.
  • Manage data integrations into the vulnerability and security data lake.
  • Understand and leverage various automated pipeline technologies to deliver tested and secure code.
  • Partner with other teams and businesses on security engineering, providing a secure hosting environment so as to enable their success.
  • Apply engineering skills to help eliminate operational issues to improve the operational environment and minimize after hours support.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Build security reports for tracking remediation and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Confirmed ability to promote an engineering culture with a focus on integrating security into the process
  • Understanding of application security architecture and frameworks
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Go/Java/Python Languages
  • Experience with REST API Data integrations
  • Industry security and cloud certifications
  • Experience as a subject matter authority for one or more security technologies and frameworks and how they support an overall security program
