Responsible for portfolio and project management activities across programs with high cost, complexity, and risk – typically Top and Signature initiatives. The candidate for this position will be responsible for program leadership, project planning, project execution, project control, and business results. This program manager is an empowered leader who will drive results using sound project management techniques, influencing skills, and strong business partnering skills. This person leverages resources across multiple teams, integrates multiple workstreams, proactively identifies/resolves problems, delivers solutions, and adheres to governance processes.
70% Project & Program Management and Leadership
Defines program objectives and scope and leads the execution on Top and Signature initiatives
Integrates people and other resource to develop, implement and monitor the integrated project plan
Accountable for proactive risk & issue management and propose creative “go to green” plans
Accountable for all Project outcomes including but not limited to Business Case, Cost, Schedule, Quality etc.
Works with business to ensure product is successfully implemented and benefits and value are captured for high cost and risk programs.
Actively manage team performance by providing resource managers feedback
Leads periodic program reviews utilizing industry leading knowledge of the project delivery process
Identifies, recommends and implements program management practices based on industry leading knowledge of project management
Provide mentorship, coaching and development for team members, peers, and functional leads as appropriate. Influence laterally.
Accountable for the development of Integrated Program plans and regularly monitoring progress to identify variances and make needed corrections
Provide oversight in coordinating efforts across projects
20% Stakeholder Management
Engage with business leadership (and other stakeholder groups as necessary) to foster relationships
Ensure execution of the stakeholder management plan for business’ stakeholder groups for a successful implementation
Leads the Gate Review process with Business, Functions and Global IT Leadership
Bring business leaders and stakeholders along on the change journey at the appropriate pace to ensure successful execution of the change plan.
10% Project & Process Controls
Regularly measure and monitor project progress to identify variances from the plan and make any needed corrections. Contain and resolve issues within the program that do not require sponsor attention.
