This is a night shift position.  Monday - Friday

At Cargill we have a culture of safety, our goal is to return everyone safely back to their loved ones every day.


Principal accountabilities

 

  • Follow all Food Safety (HACCP), GMP’s, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental programs.
  • Comply with all GMP, safety, sanitation and any other plant rules as established by the company.
  • Get assignment from supervisor.
  • Get a pass down from the outgoing shift.
  • Check paper work for the order running, and the packaging materials.
  • Do metal detector and weight check.
  • Check the quality of product running.
  • Fill out paper work is filled out correctly.
  • Do retain and Lab samples.
  • Clean work areas and equipment as assigned or scheduled.
  • Maintain all production areas in a neat and clean condition.
  • Properly account for any product spills or production scrap. 
  • Fill in for other department jobs as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 


Required:
  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts with advance notice.
  • High School diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to work in elevated areas


Preferred:
  • Prior experience in production related work.
  • Forklift experience
  • Able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment with or without reasonable accommodation
