Job Purpose and Impact

The Export Sales Manager will help sell a portfolio of starchy products from India to overseas current and new customers, key channel to grow are dairy, confectionery , bakery, infant nutrition & brewery segments involving all product portfolio – starches, glucose & maltodextrin in key markets are Asia, Middle East & Africa. We seek a professional who will proactively build knowledge of the business, financials, products and services, the market or account needs

Key Accountabilities

  • Inform customers of our new products, services and prices with indepth, proactive collaboration & coordination with multiple stakeholders – Internal (Cargill – Commercial, Plant Operations , Supply Chain, Finance , Sales mangers) & External Customers.
  • With general supervision, build, monitor and revise lead generation plans to develop substantive sales opportunities that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability weekly, monthly and annually.
  • Help assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions whenever the problems occurred for both company and customer (such as insufficient product, product overload etc.).
  • Support development and delivery of sales bids, proposals and presentations and help conduct product demonstrations, keeping abreast of market dynamics and competitors activity and creating tactical programs based on volume and value initiatives.
  • Help execute medium- to long-term sales plans, supporting business strategies to protect, grow and diversify relationships with targeted customers.
  • Collaborate with innovation and technical subject matter expert to launch new products
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science of related course
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in overall sales career, starches and sweeteners, exports experience will be a big plus.
  • Excellent Analytical, problem solving and Oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain communication channels inside and outside Cargill.
  • Strong coordination skills
  • Basic financial acumen
  • Can work with minimal supervision
  • Computer literacy (Intermediate skills in MS application – work, Excel and Powerpoint)
