Job Purpose and Impact

The Maintenance and Reliability Planning Specialist will plan routine maintenance on our plant assets and equipment following established program guidelines. In this role, you will be planning the maintenance of processing and packaging equipment to ensure maximum uptime. You will utilize your knowledge of consistent maintenance and reliability best practices in the completion of planning and prioritizing routine tasks.

Key Accountabilities

  • Proactively plan and schedule maintenance downtime and communicate cross functionally with technical and management teams to minimize production impact and improve reliability.
  • Maintain custom databases and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to support specific work projects and processes.
  • Prepare and provide detailed work plans for general and preventative maintenance activities that comply with fundamental plant maintenance procedures and practices.
  • Engage in continuous improvement planning to enhance on time performance of technical activities.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Supervise contract labour teams on specific tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Mechanical Engineering degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Continuous improvement experience like lean or six sigma
  • RCA trained
  • Working knowledge of SAP
