Job Purpose and Impact

The Ocean Transportation (OT) and World Trading Group (WTG) are part of the Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain (CASC) Enterprise. Geneva is one of the main hubs for these business groups and the majority of the business leadership is based here. The businesses leverage Cargill Business Services (CBS) teams in multiple locations.

OT and WTG have unique capabilities in Trading, Shipping, Analysis and Risk management within CASC. Both groups have initiatives to improve the processes, data and technology landscape. The Enterprise Architect is a key role within OT and WTG in these initiatives. The diverse capabilities for these business groups are built and managed by a number of Global IT teams. The Enterprise Architect will develop and maintain an overall view of the technology landscape and the enabled business capabilities and keep this up to date in collaboration with the Global IT teams. The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the overall architecture of OT and WTG and will keep an active role in strategic initiatives across architecture reviews, design, implementation and testing.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for complex architecture both from a business capability and technology enablement perspective
  • Develop architecture for signature projects that have a significant impact on the overall architecture
  • Provide guidance on ensuring the quality of architecture assets and keep them up to date.
  • Monitor adherence to defined standards for the design, development and implementation of IT architecture
  • Independently prepare application system specifications.
  • Provide expert thought leadership and take on an active role based on the requirements of the initiatives in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry experience with Shipping or Trading businesses
  • Experience with architecture design involving CTRM systems
