FSQR Rendering Tech’s are an important role in the daily operations of our facilities. There are a variety of roles and responsibilities within this title depending on the location in our facility. This job is important because it allows the movement of beef, bone, tissue, finished product, and various other products in the processing and shipping areas. Some roles may require you to use a computer or a manual paper process to track processes. All FSQR employees must go through Cargill’s Job Task Procedures to perform their job.

While performing the duties of a FSQR Rendering Tech, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. Positions require standing, walking, or sitting the entire shift, the use of stairs, the ability to read and record temperatures with a thermometer, communicate professionally with operations, and work independently.

Principal Accountabilities

The rendering QA performs regular checks of product specifications for all rendering products, this includes taking samples off the floor, bringing samples to the lab, conduct testing on the samples. Responsible for reporting any issues with specs to the supervisors. Responsible for checking trucks and trailers to ensure product is going to the right customers. Working closely with loadout employees to ensure product quality and accuracy.

Perform repetitive tasks. Examples may include:

  • Taking  samples of product
  • Ensuring food safety and quality
  • Cleanliness and housekeeping
  • Maintaining a safe working environment

The expected hourly rate for this position is $20.75. This position is eligible for an attendance bonus: $2.00 /hr


Required Qualifications
• Legal to work in the US without the need of a Visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Ability to communicate with all levels of production/management
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous Cargill Experience
• Previous Food Safety knowledge and experience
• Previous experience using a computer
