Job Purpose and Impact

The HR Senior Specialist Employee Experience/ Employee Relations and Industrial Relations will serve as a key member of the human resource solutions team responsible for delivering employee experience, employee relations and industrial relations services. You will use employee relations knowledge to coordinate complex processes and deliver human resource services, which include conducting investigations, corrective actions, conflict resolution, leave management, industrial/labor relations, and monitoring compliance programs. In this role, you will also help execute and deliver employee experience services such as onboarding, local training delivery, performance management, employee engagement and recognition programs, global projects participation and initiatives, requiring a legal support and/or Works council input, for the collective legal agreements’ settlement by partnerships with the other employee matters specialists.

Key Accountabilities

  • Consult with human resource and business managers to interpret and deliver complex employee experience, employee relations and labor relations policies, programs and processes, such as administration of new hires, contract and document management, voluntary and involuntary exits, Global Mobility, works council hearings and negotiations, restructurings, change and project management support, settlements, labor court proceedings.
  • Support and deliver collective bargaining including strike, arbitration bodies and ad-hoc inquiries` support
  • Conduct investigations concerning employee/management inquiries and employee suggestions, personnel measures and specific questions as a first point of contact.
  • Deliver education sessions for employees, human resource professionals, supervisors and managers related to employee experience and employee relations policies, programs and performance improvement processes.
  • Build and maintain key internal and external relationships, which may include business leaders, Managers, human resource professionals, industry contacts, employees and union representatives.
  • Work with legal resources and consultants to ensure employee experience and employee relations activities adhere to company policy and legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Five years’ experience in a relevant position
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and implement HR processes and client focused solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and lead by influence
  • Experience conducting investigations, anticipating issues, problem solving and implementing solutions
  • Travel is required to the locations in Hamburg and Malchin up to 50%
  • Fluency in German and English
