Job Purpose and Impact

The Site - Environmental Supervisor will provide subject matter expertise in environmental compliance and wastewater treatment. In this role, you will develop, implement and maintain processes and programs built to assure compliance with existing federal, state, and local regulations and requirements for a complex operation with high serious environmental events potential.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supervise the daily operations and all associated duties, and record-keeping, including maintenance of the wastewater facility to maintain environmental compliance with Local, State, Federal, and Internal requirements.
  • Responsible for preparing and executing controls, site self-assessments, and applicable control programs and ensuring compliance with environmental permits including wastewater, water, air, and solid wastes.
  • Promote environmental, health, and safety culture through training and education solutions related to environmental, health, and safety issues, practices, and risks, coaching others as the need arises.
  • Conduct incident investigations based on incident classification and liaise with engineers, and management to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence.
  • Lead sustainability and resource efficiency plans for the plant.
  • Define, implement and handle the processes for risks, hazards, and opportunities identification and determine resources required to execute.
  • Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum one year of directly related work experience


  • Strong scientific and mathematical knowledge
  • Solid working knowledge of food safety industry practices and standards
  • Confirmed ability to deliver processes effectively to optimize business resources
  • One year of supervisory experience
