Job Purpose and Impact

The Training Senior Supervisor is accountable for a facility's training and employee experience strategies. In this role, you will execute development programs and engagement strategies and coordinate the assessment and delivery of performance feedback and employee experience initiatives including, but not limited to, employee engagement strategies, hourly onboarding assessment feedback, local leadership program coordination, employee roundtable facilitation and action planning.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform ongoing assessment and strategy development for training effectiveness opportunities and develop strategy to execute training activities to support identified improvement opportunities.
  • Assess and optimize training processes for efficiency and effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement and establishing actions to execute.
  • Nurture a culture of engagement by providing coaching for the management team, focusing on team development, engagement, leadership behaviors and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate and lead the training program for hourly production new hires, including oversight of new hire orientation and job-specific training through the new hire probationary period and provide oversight to the plant hourly trainers.
  • Assist hiring managers and executives in employee assessment, employee development, succession planning and the training initiatives required to elevate employees from their current level.
  • Manage workstation preparations including technology requests, acquisition of technology tools needed, personal protective equipment and other items to facilitate successful onboarding of employees.
  • Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of learning and development best practices
  • Demonstrated experience with team strategy development and execution
  • Significant experience leading training initiatives and evaluating training effectiveness


  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Leadership experience in production operations
  • Experience with employee performance assessment and succession planning
