Job Purpose and Impact
The Mill Senior Manufacturing Technology Engineer will apply engineering techniques to improve manufacturing processes and products. In this role, you will provide technical support, operations experience, continuous improvement and project management skills to ensure safe, efficient and low-cost plant operations and support the commercialization of new products and processes for the related business.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for the activities related to the commercialization of new products collaborating with research and development to lead efforts to scale up the product in the plant.
- Lead the process safety management regulated process implementation and maintenance activities including the management of change requirements not limited to creating standard operating procedures and training.
- Review and recommend manufacturing equipment and processes designed to be safe, efficient and cost effective to promote quality and reliability and act as the key point of contact for risk analysis and technical feasibility review for actions to correct process upsets.
- Lead capital and expense projects and ensure that the projects are completed in a timely manner, within budget and perform at or above expectations per company project delivery process and applicable standards.
- Communicate and partner with the commercial group on a regular basis to ensure operations exceed expectations.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to develop team members, which include technicians, new engineers and interns.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
- Minimum of four years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six sigma green belt certification.
- Lean certification.
- Project management and process safety management experience.
- Minimum of seven years of production management or engineering experience.
