Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Employee Relations Specialist - East Market (Senior ER Consultant)will serve as a member of our human resource solutions team responsible for delivering employee relations services to the business. You will use employee relations knowledge to coordinate complex processes and deliver human resource services, which include conducting investigations, corrective actions, conflict resolution, leave management, industrial/labor relations, and monitoring compliance programs.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve clients within our market of WI, IA, IL, IN to provide high quality consultation and effective solutions as an employee relations specialist.
  • Assist your assigned locations and businesses with employee relations services as requested or as need arises on urgency or as work flow dictates.
  • Conduct investigations concerning employee/management inquiries and employee suggestions and/or complaints.
  • Confer with employees and provide guidance and/or consultation making sure they are using the tools and resources available.
  • Work with legal resources and consultants to ensure employee relations activities adhere to company policy and legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Help prepare audits, reporting and compliance reviews pertaining to local regulations and programs.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • This position may be based remote anywhere within the East Market 
  • Minimum travel may be required

Minimum Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree preferably in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
•    Ability to give consistent performance under various levels of demand
•    Minimum four years of working experience with investigations, conflict resolution and overall Technical/compliance expertise such as documentation, accommodations, FMLA, ADAAA, etc.
•    Emotional Intelligence
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, such as Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

•    Strong Working experience in a union environment
•    Able to communicate in English and Spanish: read and write
