Strategic Marketing – Develop and implement strategic marketing plans for customer opportunities identified in the strategy work.Establish a formal portfolio and innovation pipeline (offerings & capabilities) from global and local innovation to deliver the strategy. Ensure robust execution, utilizing Customer Focused Development (CFD) which includes project leadership, defining the business case, developing offerings and capabilities, clarifying required resources to compete, and achieving business goals.
Customer Focus - Lead and proactively update customer segmentation and customer unmet needs to ensure the business remains relevant and is perceived as better than the competition in target customer segments. Act as the business tag to one or several key customers.
Business Results & Intelligence - Conduct rigorous business cases focused on delivering customer benefits for new offerings.
Lead Annual Business planning for the New Product Services and Solutions (NPSS) budget in the assigned species or segments. Cohesively work with sales leaders to measure and manage effective product portfolios and NPSS’ that deliver value to the customer and to Cargill. Proactively measure and monitor performance and identify corrective actions.
Demonstrate the ability to successfully turn easy to implement strategic customer focused plans into financial results for the business, by focusing on enhancing perceived value by target customer segments and developing a value based pricing culture and cababilities.
Be responsible for gathering and analyzing business and competitive intelligence to act on decisions to strengthen the business.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an agricultural or business discipline or equivalent experience in business
·Min 8 to 10 years of working experience. 3+ years strategic/tactical marketing experience, developing a go to market strategy, leveraging customer insight
·Experience in growing a business
·Experience and proven success in strategic marketing expertise, along with leading strategic projects to impact the business financial results
·Experience in fiduciary responsibility, including budgets, expenses, or pricing
Culture awareness and experience of diversity
Ability to communicate well in English (written, verbal)
Masters degree, preferably in Business, Business Administration, or Marketing degree
·Preferred 3+ years experience specifically in animal nutrition business, or knowledge of the animal nutrition business
Experience working with technical teams on product innovation and solutions
·Experience in applying the CAN customer segmentation methodologies
