Compensation: $19.00 per hour

Principal Accountabilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate equipment at site, including but not limited to bagging machines, operating salt conveying equipment, operation of packaging and related equipment
  • Safely operate heavy machinery used to move or lift products, equipment, or materials within and around plant, including but not limited to front-end loaders, Shuttle wagon, and forklifts
  • Operate computers to check work orders/schedule, print shipping paperwork and labels 
  • Perform quality verification of product through screen analysis and chemical testing
  • Operate computers to check work orders/schedule, print shipping paperwork and labels
  • Comply with corporate policies and procedures related to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Feed Safety risks associated with products
  • Support a culture of zero fatality, injury and illness
  • Understand and proactively avoid environmental impact and potential risk to the businesses
  • Perform general tasks around plant with minimal supervision


  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, with limited notice
  • Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold
  • Be physically able to perform the job duties including bending, kneeling, stooping, shoveling, sweeping, pounding with hammers, climbing stairs and ladders, opening and closing valves, and extended driving/riding/maneuvering of forklifts
  • Lifting of product and tools up to 50 lbs. at various heights.  This can be a frequent requirement depending on need
  • Able to operate a heavy equipment
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift certified
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Be able to crawl and twist
  • Being able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Basic computer operation skills to perform data entry for label production and monitoring of inventory and shipment completion; warehouse/shipping software, SAP software, or inventory management software
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting industrial equipment (ex., packaging machinery, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and in a positive manner
  • Minimum experience (6 months) working in a production or plant environment
