Job Purpose and Impact
The Global Credits and Incentives Consultant will handle both internal and external resources in implementing the credit and incentive processes and identify and pursue opportunities across the assigned region, focusing in select countries. In this role, you will collaboratively partner and consult with stakeholders to provide information for complex analysis, partner with functional experts to examine complex, qualifying activities or investments and provide validation for a given incentives, partnering with the credit and incentives lead and business services team in the administration of the program once the incentive is received.
Identify and prioritize incentive opportunities that align to company activities and priorities and drive value for the company, continuously monitoring the highly complex public policy environments of your region, consulting leadership on ethical, legal and reputation risks.
Develop complex structured plans and execute to pursue incentive opportunities effectively in your region.
Partner collaboratively with tax, law and other key stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to incentive opportunities, leveraging external resources for their expertise and ensuring efficient use of a limited budget.
Partner with our operations team to develop clear and precise compliance processes that will be used to monitor company commitments and prepare filings.
Assist in global efforts to continuously improve global process and approach, including the use of our digital credit and incentive management platforms.
Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Expert understanding of tax and financial incentives in one or more countries (LATAM)
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Confirmed expertise and organizational experience in capital planning, grant writing, tax or finance
- Deep related work experience
- Fluent English and Spanish
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
- Professional certification in the areas of finance or tax
- Experience with, and interest in, public policy
- Direct experience, in-house or consulting, pursuing strategic investment incentives and developing and administering complex processes to meet government requirements
