Job Purpose and Impact

The  Sales Manager (Modified Starches) will participate in sales strategy related to establishing modified starches market share to our new and existing customers, selling directly or indirectly through various sales channels within India and export markets to grow paper, textile, food and pharma segments. We seek a results-oriented professional who will help assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions on modified starches, Pregel starches.

Key Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of sales proposals and conducting detailed technical presentations for effective product demonstration to penetrate new markets.
  • Build a business plan and sales strategy for the new market and channel that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability for each account developing strong client relationships.
  • Plan daily activities, including customer visits for any solution whenever the problems occurred for both company and customer (such as insufficient product, product overload etc.) and establish quantitative and qualitative objectives to achieve.
  • Follow market and competition evolution, relaying information related to market dynamics and competitors activity to senior staff.
  • Collaborate with innovation and technical SMEs to launch new products.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Min. 5 years experience in overall sales career; Starches and sweeteners, Modified Starches is a plus.
  • Excellent problem solving and Oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Strong leadership skills and Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Basic Financial acumen
  • Can work with minimal supervision
  • Computer literacy (Intermediate skills in MS application – work, Excel and PowerPoint
