Job Purpose and Impact

The Cross Border Project is a transformation project within Cargills organization that will centralize all Cross Border activities to one center of expertise. 
Trade Compliance Data Analyst will develop and provide significant business insights to help leaders make better decisions through data analytics and business intelligence. With a good eye for business, you'll partner with trade compliance stakeholders, helping to execute a trade technology and business intelligence strategy that improves compliance, meets requirements and drives efficiencies through standardization and innovation. In this position, you'll demonstrate familiarity with trade technology concepts, business intelligence, data management and decision support.

Key Accountabilities

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Facilitate data extraction, collection, cleansing and preparation for consumption.
  • Drive reporting through the use of available technology (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, SAP) and develop technical solutions for an effective, efficient data analytics platform.
  • Identify and communicate trade compliance risks and impacts through analysis, providing leaders with transparency, interpretations and solutions.
  • Respond to complex ad-hoc data requests.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data models that provide management information and analysis of function performance (key performance indicators, metrics).
  • Conduct analyses of performance variables, data management, measurement and analytics, data design principles, concept and practices.
  • Develop, with colleagues, detailed understanding of the business, and offer mentorship or technical solutions, process and plan suggestions to solve business problems.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data visualization, data blending, and data preparation.
  • Related work experience.
  • Experience translating business requirements into application requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Trade Compliance or customs background.
  • Experience in SAP ECC, TM, S/4 HANA.
