Job Purpose and Impact

The Sustainability Training Specialist will develop and implement bring best practices to improve efficiency of trainings (leverage digital technologies, smart tools, dynamic training approaches, train the trainer etc.)
The role will bring expertise on behavior change and adult learning techniques for field implementation staff, farmer organizations, and sub-contractors. The individual will plan, develop, and provide or facilitate training programs, incorporating latest adult learning theories and expertise, and help determine best delivery modalities including microlearning, face to face events, e-learning etc. The role will support country program and M&E teams, starting in one geography and expanding to other geographies where Cargill operates the Cargill Cocoa Promise. 

Key Accountabilities

•    Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials, including alignment with global team knowledge management, ensure regular updates and alignment with content from internal and external expert partners.
•    Manage training logistics and execution of trainings to ensure coordinators are well supported in deploying trainings
•    Own and deliver follow-up on retainment of knowledge by trainees, and devise strategies to retain individuals trained and build technical and learning capacity over time.
•    Design and deploy capacity building for field staff at coops/community level to fully deliver their role (functional literacy and digital improvements etc).
•    Work closely with IT, M&E and leads to develop and implement innovation learning evaluation and monitoring procedures 
•    Own scorecard on training effectiveness and efficiency improvements over time
•    Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

•    Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
•    Proven knowledge of training theories, and adult learnings
•    Minimum 2-5 years of related work experience
•    Other minimum qualifications may apply


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•    Project management 
•    Proficient knowledge of sustainability topics andinitiatives

•    Comprehensive knowledge of sustainability and environmental initiatives.
•    Experience with project management and client delivery.
•    Experience producing communications materials, including infographics.
