Qualifications

• A degree (Bsc, Msc. Or PhD)  in the field of science, mathematics, engineering, econometrics, finance or an equivalent field. 
• Working experience in a quant role, we are open to people with various levels of experiences, from early to late career
• Experience in alternative data in agriculture, energy or commodities is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)

Key Accountabilities

  • Design decision making solutions and build tools globally relating to fundamental and non-fundamental influences on commodity markets. 
  • Lead the discovery and prototyping of new quantitative tools and strategies. 
  • Develop and maintain scalable machine learning components and advanced statistical ensemble systems. 
  • Benchmark, back-test, and stress-test models to identify true sensitivities and risks. 
  • Maintain and enhance code repository and models infrastructure in a scalable fashion. 
  • Conduct complex market analyses and advise trading teams regarding trading strategies.
  • Develop and deploy custom optimization solutions to increase manufacturing or supply chain efficiency
  • Apply machine learning/AI to discover new product development opportunities
