Principal Accountabilities
- Troubleshooting and operating packaging equipment
- Verify and record production quantities produced and/or consumed
- Effectively communicate with counter-parts and management during shift exchanges
- Ensure quality of the product meets Food Safety guidelines and customer specifications at packaging
- Perform preventative maintenance on packaging equipment
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
- Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts as customer demand dictates
- Ability to interpret and understand reports, safety/operating procedures & other policies and procedures and utilize equipment checklists
- Ability to perform all phases of the packaging operation
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certified
- Prior manufacturing or military experience
- Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team
- Ability to operate equipment related to the classification
- Ability to perform lubrication, servicing and minor maintenance for equipment related to the classification
