Principal Accountabilities
- Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and stretch wrap machines
- Supply materials as necessary to own area as well as other areas
- Unloading, loading, and stacking materials onto or off trucks, pallets, skids, or lifting devices, and controlling inventory to meet both internal and external customer needs
- Follow written or oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Make simple adjustments or repairs, maintenance, and lubrication of trucks.
- Open communication with peers and management to promote a teamwork-focused environment as well as developing
- Capable of all platform labor duties
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
- Experience working in a production-related work
- High school diploma/GED equivalent
- Experience operating forklifts and/or similar equipment
