Chemicals & Ingredients Associate Buyer
Job Purpose and Impact
The Chemicals & Ingredient Buyer, will handle basic country or multicounty sourcing routine activities. In this role, you will coordinate and execute medium, medium to high complex procurement requirements to provide inputs to the global category team.
Key Accountabilities
- Execute medium to high complex requests for sourcing process.
- Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers in multi country and regional scope
- Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
- Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Drive implementation of local sourcing decisions and support local implementation of regional or global sourcing decisions.
- Provide local inputs to the global category team for category strategy development and execution.
- Build and apply a comprehensive understanding of local, stakeholder and procurement landscape.
- Follow established procedures to select suppliers for procurement of non contracted materials, goods, services and supplies.
- Administer transactions associated with obtaining goods and services.
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (Agro-Industry Faculty (Major: Food Science &Technology, Product Development) Or relevant degree (i.e. Chemical/or Biological Engineering, Animal science)
5+ years of working experience in procurement
Good English and Thai communication skills are preferred
Can work at Saraburi or Korat plant
