You will serve as a strategic member of the controllership extended leadership team and will work closely with our ESG Ratings and Reporting Team.

Key Accountabilities

Represent controllership in the ESG space by leveraging internal and external resources to stay abreast of developments, benchmarked approaches and changing regulations in the space. • Lead, coordinate, and communicate the work to be done across the Controllers organization (including statutory reporting requirements such as IFRS S1 and S2).
  • Support and advise on ESG risk assessment activities.
  • Outline a proposal for a second line of defense (develop & implement data controls and processes to support the internal and external assurance of ESG data).
  • Partner on the EU Taxonomy assessment and determine ownership going forward.
  • Identify where we need short term proposal (acute fixes) vs. longer term more strategic plan.
  • Responsible for ensuring the financial statements of related businesses are in compliance with US GAAP and financial controls are designed and operating effectively including remediation of any control deficiencies.
  • Advise the business on the accounting for ESG products, investments or projects such as carbon credits, emission allowances and virtual power agreements with support from Technical Accounting COE where necessary.
