Job Purpose and Impact
The Junior Tax Accountant, will perform routine activities including preparation of indirect, direct and other tax returns and provide tax compliance and tax accounting services. In this role, you will assist others in the tax department communicate with businesses and tax personnel on tax specific matters for an assigned country or region.
Key Accountabilities
Complete activities within compliance of internal and external organizational and regulatory guidelines, policies and requirements.
Ensure all internal controls, tax and financial processes are followed and performed in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare tax fillings to business units on daily basis.
Prepare, check and consolidate indirect, direct and other tax return related procedures.
Maintain tax and accounting and financial records and reports.
Participate in process analysis and improvements.
Check and review balance sheet reconciliations and perform tax mini audits to identify risks and opportunities.
Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of related technology systems and processes
Knowledge of tax calculations, tax accounting and tax compliance processes
Knowledge of finance or other shared service operations
Ability to apply the law to the concrete case
Experience in tax accounting, tax compliance or tax auditing
