Job Purpose and Impact

The Dutch Translator ( preferably Hollandic dialect), will convert written material from source languages into the target language and ensure the translated version conveys an accurate meaning of the original. In this role, you will work with multiple divisions or regions to reproduce statements for diverse reading audiences.

Key Accountabilities

• Translate material utilizing specific domain and client terminology to ensure consistency during translation utilizing style guides and brand requirements.
• Edit and proofread material translated by others including external partners.
• Coordinate translation projects, manage deliverables for projects, report statuses and direct work between internal translators and external language service providers based on requirements.
• Modify the layout of text and images in desktop publishing software to fit translated material.
• Collaborate with service owners, continuous improvement specialists and other translators to select, scope and implement improvements.
• Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of process improvement methodologies
• Experience with presentation, spreadsheet and word processing applications
• Clear writing style with advanced spelling and grammar skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or other post-secondary degree in translation or linguistics
• Certificate in Translation
• Project management experience 
• Experience in Desktop Publishing 
• Professional experience in Interpretation 
• Experience working with CAT tool (Translation Management system)
