Job Purpose and Impact

The Plant Continuous Improvement Lead will develop, implement and sustain process improvement initiatives. In this role, you will conduct continuous improvement activities with medium project cost and risk and activities with less defined processes for Cargill's Sas van Gent facility.

Key Accountabilities

• Directly provide updates on the project objectives, performance measures, issues and risks to partners and management.
• As part of the site management team, you will lead the local training team
• Monitor and implement continuous improvement best practices.
• Develop and handle continuous improvement plans for projects with low cost and risk to reach and sustain project goals.
• Conduct organization readiness assessments, value realization, opportunity prioritization, resource evaluation and execute continuous improvement strategies that meet business needs.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and Kaizens, as well as train plant members on continuous improvement tools.
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of four years of related work experience
• Knowledge of Dutch is an asset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading and managing teams for high performance
• Lean Six Sigma belt certification
