Principal Accountabilities:
- Operate and monitor equipment to track and relocate salt product.
- Load and unload railcars and trucks
- Communicate with truck drivers to line up trucks for loading.
- Open, close hatches and lower gates, Prepare, secure, and operate rail cars.
- Operate front end loaders to load trucks or to feed a hopper with product while operating a frontend loader at a rate that meets or exceeds the hoisted supply of product.
- Continually monitor the stockpile being built, directing contract trucks to dump locations.
- Manipulate the radial stacker for new rows of stockpile as directed.
- Maintain 200Ton bin operations with salt to meet the needs of the rail/ truck load schedule.
- Operate/ load specialty products and mix YPS solution.
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs., kneeling, climbing, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
Preferred:
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining various components and systems such as but not limited to packaging equipment, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, belt or roller conveyors, pumps, gear reducers, or bearings Minimum of one year experience with maintenance trades in an industrial environment
- Are you able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)?
- Do you have experience operating mobile equipment such as forklift?
- Basic computer skills
