This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Cleaning and maintaining site wide process areas
- Tasks can include snow removal with a shovel, salting areas of travel, cleaning process areas of salt dust and/or piles
- Assisting maintenance personnel in completing preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance by installing, maintaining, testing, evaluating, and repairing various components and systems
- Documenting all completed work and the conditions found; utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary
- Operating standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, pneumatic tools, electric tools, etc.
- Performing routine tasks to ensure functional operation and reliability of Cargill assets
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Desire to be qualified in site specific trainings ex. Waste Manifests, Trenching Permits
- Assisting in Third Party Audit prep
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to work in varied temperatures
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent knowledge
- Ability to adjust start times based on weather
- Ability to manage site specific trainings ex. Waste Manifests, Trenching Permits
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior industrial experience troubleshooting and maintaining various components and systems
- Ability to comprehend (mechanical/electrical) schematics, blueprints, and/or operation manuals
- Forklift and/or loader certification or ability to obtain certification
- SAP or CMMS experience
