Embedded in the team of the global company Cargill, Delacon researches, develops and produces natural feed additives for poultry, pigs, ruminants and aquaculture at the Engerwitzdorf site (Linz area). 


Job Purpose and Impact

The Feed Regulatory and Registration Expert will investigate and resolve complex compliance problems, questions or complaints received from other units of the company, customers and government regulatory agencies. You will develop strategies for proactive advocacy, assess the risk and opportunities related to regulations, influence minor changes and effect pertinent changes in the region. The Feed Regulatory and Registration Expert will act as the key point for existing phytogenic feed product registrations and will interact with trade associations, to serve this goal

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure business activities comply with regulations and laws and work with regulatory agencies to provide guidance and advice.
  • Ensure registrations and labeling comply with regulations and laws, working with regulatory colleagues in the regions to provide guidance, advise and accelerate the approval of delayed registrations. 
  • Provide the regional registration teams with advice on products and decision making for registrations scenarios and ensure communication between the teams that produce registrations materials.
  • Examine current regulations and maintain knowledge about regional registration requirements; follow up and track all registrations in progress, communicate on status regularly to determine the current and potential medium-term impacts. 
  • Inform and advise leaders on regulatory issues and changes that could potentially affect the business or the company’s freedom to operate.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Product registration or regulatory experience in any of the areas: animal nutrition / cosmetics / food industry / pharma / chemicals or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Fluent in both English and German

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of local registration process
  • Experience in product industrialization
  • Trade association experience 
  • Experienced in feed additives registration

For legal reasons, we would like to point out that a basic salary of €2900 gross per month (based on a 38-hour week) is provided for this position. The actual remuneration depends on training, experience and individual skills and can therefore be higher.
