Compensation: $21/hr

Principal Accountabilities

  • Safely move trailers within the yard including both empty and loaded trailers

  • Work with Operations team(s) to prioritize tasks

  • Accurately report equipment statuses and productivity information to the shipping supervisor

  • Perform Yard Audits 3 times a shift just before each break and lunch

  • Ensure Jockey truck is in safe working order to include pre/post-trip inspections

  • Place wheel chock under trailers after backing in

  • Check temperature settings on trailers before and after placing them into a dock door

  • Change settings as needed

  • Refuel truck and trailer(s) with diesel fuel as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must be able to operate a Yard Truck

  • Must be able to back up a 53’ trailer

  • English fluency over radio communication

  • Ensure that all standard operating procedures are being met

  • Be able to complete a pre shift inspection of your truck

  • Ensure that all food safety procedures and practices are being followed

  • Ensure that all safety procedures and practices are being followed

  • Ensure safe work procedures are followed by all employees in the dept

  • Ensure you are wearing proper personal protective equipment

  • Employees must always work and act safely and must accept equal responsibility for their personal safety and that of their co-workers

  • Be able to work outside in different weather

  • Be able to complete trailer inventory reports


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual preferred but not required

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

  • Previous experience operating a jockey truck

  • Prior work history in a fast-paced environment
