Job Purpose and Impact

The Data Lifecycle Backend Engineer plays a key role in designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining cloud-based systems and infrastructures. In this role, you will help leverage cloud services for scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness to develop solutions that meet business needs while ensuring high availability, security, and performance of cloud applications.   

Key Accountabilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage a scalable cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud providers. 

• Set up monitoring and alerting solutions to track cloud infrastructure performance, availably, and security using tools such as Datadog. 

• Work closely with Product Owner to translate functional into technical, while ensuring the final product matches set criteria.

• Creating multiple integrations with complex API design to support various upstream and downstream systems.  

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or related field or equivalent exp. 

• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing cloud environments or related work exp. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Solid understanding of at least one backend programming language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go) with the ability to implement and troubleshoot server-side logic in cloud environments. 

• Hands-on exp in developing, testing, and securing RESTful APIs endpoints that integrate with various cloud services and external applications. 

• Familiarity with cloud-native concepts, including microservices architecture, serverless computing, and containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
