Data Lifecycle Associate Backend Engineer
Job Purpose and Impact
The Data Lifecycle Associate Backend Engineer plays a key role in contributing to the development and maintenance of maintaining cloud-based systems and infrastructures. This involves supporting senior engineers developing solutions that meet business needs while ensuring high availability, security, and performance of cloud applications.
Key Accountabilities
Assisting in Set up, configuration, and maintenance of cloud environments using platforms such as ASW, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud providers.
Strong foundational skills in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Node.js) and ability to write efficient server-side code
Help deploy applications and services on cloud, following instructions from senior cloud engineers or product owner.
Work closely with Senior Engineers and Product Owner to translate visual into code, while ensuring the final product matches set criteria.
Work under the guidance of senior CLOUD engineers to learn best practices in coding, debugging and performance optimization
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
0-2 years of experience in CLOUD development, internships, or academic projects that demonstrate of hands-on experience managing cloud environments.
Preferred to have foundation SQL experience and building and consuming RESTful APIs for backend services
